Tony Savarese was raised in a Conservative Jewish home in New York City, where he met his wife, Joan, whom he married in 1974. They have two sons.

Tony came to faith in through the witness of committed believers in 1976 while working at a radio station in New York City. Shortly after, Joan also accepted Jesus as her Messiah. They began attending a congregation planted by Chosen People Ministries in Brooklyn and in 1979, they moved to New Jersey where Tony attended Northeastern Bible College.

Today, Tony and Joan reside in San Diego, California. Tony leads a Bible study in his home where Jewish seekers and new believers can be discipled. Tony and Joan are active members of a Messianic congregation. Tony serves as Outreach Coordinator, ministering at local parks and at literature tables in college campuses, and Joan serves on the congregation's worship team.

Tony speaks in churches both locally and nationally, and the burden of his heart is to see Jewish people come to know their Messiah and to teach others to do the same.
