Ron and Paula Michelson

Ron and Paula MichelsonRon Michelson converted to Judaism in Los Angeles in 1968 to marry Paula. Up to that time, he had been searching for meaning and purpose through his college studies. Together they raised their children in a Jewish household and attended synagogue in Southern California.

In 1987 the family moved to Fremont, California, and were invited to attend a local congregation. Their oldest daughter had already placed her hope in the Messiah just prior to the move. Ron was confronted with the Gospel for the first time when he studied the Brit Hadashah (New Covenant Scriptures) and saw for himself the fulfillment of prophesies from the Tanach (Old Covenant Scriptures) in Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah. Ron put his faith in Messiah on November 8, 1988.

Ron holds a B.A. Degree in English from California State University, Long Beach, and a Master's degree in Theological Studies from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.

Ron has always been active in his local congregation in evangelism, teaching and preaching to both Jews and Gentiles. God first called him into ministry to serve the homeless and to share the Good News with them. He is a bi-vocational Associate Pastor of a local post-modern congregation in Orange, California and he and Paula attend Shuva Yisrael Messianic Congregation in Irvine, California. He and Paula have an outreach ministry to the Jewish people of Laguna Woods, California. Paula is also a speaker for women's events and does Biblical counseling for women.

Ron has now been called by God into full-time ministry and is answering that call as a staff member with Chosen People Ministries. "I find great joy," says Ron, "in seeing Jewish people find their Messiah and place their faith and hope in Him."
