Manuel and Rosa Goffman

Manuel and Rosa GoffmanManuel and Rosa Goffman were born in Argentina. Manuel is from a Jewish family. Both Manuel and Rosa are graduates from the International Theological Baptist Seminary in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Manuel did postgraduate studies at the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregation Yeshiva. Manuel was ordained a Baptist pastor in 1969 and a Messianic Jewish rabbi in 1989.

The Goffmans founded the Spanish-speaking Shema Israel Messianic Jewish Congregation in Miami, Florida in 1995 and have been leading the congregation until now. In 2001, Manuel founded Shema Israel International Yeshiva, a three-year course in Spanish designed to equip people for ministry to reach Spanish-speaking Jewish people. It is an endorsed organization of the UMJC, with sixty students currently enrolled.

Manuel writes, "We are very excited to be part of this ministry. It was a staff member of Chosen People Ministries Argentina who guided us in our first steps as new Jewish believers in 1970. One of our goals is to multiply the Spanish outreach of Chosen People Ministries in the United States through churches."
